Feeder Finger Material

 

Definition: This error occurs when a coin is struck on fragments of a broken feeder finger.  Sometimes the feeder finger is intact when struck, and is fragmented by the strike.

This 2000-P Sacagawea dollar was struck multiple times on a feeder finger.
